I seriously think the Groundhog Day rule needs to be amended for Ottawa. Six weeks should be the minimum if no shadow is seen, and 10 the maximum if it is... that just reflects the reality here methinx...

I was on the canal around 11 this morning. The ice was fantastic as far as Pig's Island.It was a perfect day for skating- I could live with 6 more weeks of this.
