L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland: As much as I love city living - (ok I'm not loving OC Transpo) - all the shops, bakeries, entertainment etc. I'd rather have nothing to do with big cities when I'm traveling. For example, the whole western coast of Newfoundland. It's funny how big chunks of ice can be so entertaining.
As for the Oscars last night. Holy Lord of the Lame. Everytime I see Peter Jackson I just want to pelt him with combs and hairbrushes. Also, I wish Joan Rivers would Botox her mouth shut. That would be great. This Ottawa winter post makes me laugh because it's ALL true. Comments
Last year's episode cured me of ever wanting to watch the self-important love fest that is the Oscars ever again. Your comment to that winter post is very much true. During winter I complain about how when it's day outside you have to wear sunglasses 'cause it's so darn blinding and how at 4pm it's dark and the wind is like a slap in the face and where the fuck have the colors gone? During summer the humidity kills it for me. I feel like I suffocate my days around the city, trying to wear as less possible without looking like a sweating slut - when even my skin is too much. Great photo, by the way. I wish I was closer to home. Anabella / 03.01.04That is a gorgeous picture, Lana. I'm more or less enjoying the city this winter, but I have to say that the countryside does the thaw in a much prettier fashion. I love the contrast here of the grass with the iceberg in the back. Yeah, I'm starting to see the spring thaw "remains of the day" and it is not a pretty sight. 3 words: Poop And Scoop Lana / 03.01.04this is a fabulous picture and makes me want to instantly book a flight to Newfoundland... trish / 03.03.04Post a comment
