The Three Sisters: Don't worry, we're on the home stretch with the Australia photos now. Here we are at yet another World Heritage Site. This time, the Three Sisters in Katoomba (about 2 hours outside of Sydney). Alysha (and her dad!) were nice enough to meet me and show me around. As well, she new the best place in town to get a pie.
---------- Also featured in this month's National Geographic Traveler is an expose on Belgium's hidden gem, Ghent. The Montrealer who wrote the article must have followed my itinerary when I was in Ghent last year as it was like reading my travel journal. I am feeling quite chuffed about this. Comments
why do i get the feeling that 'pie' doesn't mean 'large fruit tart' but rather something with kangaroo or koala or something in it... Graham / 06.17.04It's just a meat pie... but in snack-sized portions. Sometimes topped with mashed potatoes and mushy peas. mmmmm. Lana / 06.17.04very pretty picture! and mmm, that pie sounds yummy! is there such a thing as australian cuisine, and if so where can i find some? melanie / 06.17.04Well, "bush tucker" seems to be the new trend at the moment, also emu and roo seemed quite popular... but pies seem to be the Australian staple.
