Have you found out what's going on?

From the CFRA site:
"A standoff involving the Ottawa Police and the tactical unit wrapped up with one man in custody and a police officer injured.

Police say they were responded to a call at 395 Somerset around the dinner hour when one of their officers was hit by a sword.

Staff Sgt. Monique Ackland says authorities negotiated for several hours before entering the residence. Ackland says police had to use a Taser gun to subdue the man."

wow... i saw those guys whipping down Bank as I walked home from work ...i wondered what the ruckus was.

a sword??(!) perhaps there was a disagreement over a 'D and D' move by some overzealous 'society for creative anachronism' folks..

Apparently the guy with the sword was in his 70s. *shrug*

...and there is an example of the difference between American violence and Canadian violence.

A sword?

Unless you live in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal..
