Hello there, neighbour
Hello there, neighbour : Bush is in town. There has been so much fuss about traffic being disrupted that virtually all civil servants seem to have favoured the 'stay at home under a duvet' route... except for peds like me who ventured into the deserted streets of Ottawa to work. (And no, CFRA, being told to 'work from home' is not a 'day off").

Of course, the big question remains. Will Bush eat his Alberta Grade A steak or not at the gala dinner tonight? He could spend the next four years complaining of Mad Cow. It could be his scapegoat.. or scapebovine.

Out of all the news reports I have read this morning, I enjoyed this analogy of the Bush visit from the Canada.com website best, "Gone is the so-called Pottery Barn foreign policy mentality that dictated if you broke it, you fix it." Sadly, we can only offer you duct tape.

Keep track of the Hill action on the Parliament Hill Cam

We weren't arrested! Yay! Expect photos and video soon.

Actually, the whole thing was very peaceful... the "pot-in" on the Hill had the ability to lull the masses.
