Yee Haw: My first protest. Awwww. Things were pretty quiet when I walked downtown after work.
![]() I grew weary of the helicopter circling overhead and decided I could use some coffee. Unfortunately, the Tim Hortons was packed. ![]() On the other hand, the anti-American crowd would be avoiding the Starbucks. Perfect. ![]() After filling up, we headed over to the Hill. The holiday lights are up. Quite pretty. ![]() ![]() We observed the "pot-in". For blogging purposes only. Though, one fellow was kind enough to offer to share. We declined. ![]() ![]() Then there was a good, old-fashioned candle lighting with Jack Layton and Carolyn Parrish. She told some story about how she was a mouse to Paul Martin's cat... or something.. frankly, we were getting a bit cold and hungry by this point. The protesters assembled to parade over to the Civilization Museum and we assembled as the Coalition of the Cold and Hungry to go have dinner and unthaw our toes. I also have some rough video footage up here. Comments
I noticed a pot-in on the Hull side as well when I left work last night. A big smelly green cloud really lends credibility to a protest, me thinks ;) ao / 12.01.04i missed afternoon session :(. well, can't get it all, right. posted some photos on my journal tho. avianto / 12.01.04Nice.
