Douglas Coupland is better than lumpy hot chocolate: I thought that a miraculous apparition of a heart formed out of dried hot chocolate on my coffee mug was going to be the highlite of the day... until Miriam suggested going to see Douglas Coupland at the National Library. Crusty cocoa began to lose its ranking.
We sat close enough to snap some photos as he read from Eleanor Rigby and his unpublished Microserfs 2. He is so funny and "wry" - I just want to put some roast beef and mustard on him and pack him for lunch. See below for the demoted cocoa heart.
