Out on the town: Yesterday was both the scariest and greatest day of the year. It was the first day where you can officially wear shorts and sandals without fear of freezing. But, it was also the day when you are forced to pull your summer wardrobe out of the closet (where they've been hibernating for six months) and ask yourself, "are my shorts going to fit?"
Despite the balmy 23 degree weather, not all the patios on Elgin were filled to capacity with sun seeking Ottawans. Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed. Get.it.together Ottawa. Do you think sunshine and beer just grow on trees? FYI - they don't! A good read: The Passive-aggressive Vegan Grocery Cashier at McSweeneys. I wonder if this happens at the Herb and Spice... From the "also cool" department: U of T Museum Studies students curate Toronto: A City in Souvenirs. Neat. It made me wonder what kinds of souvenirs Ottawa has produced over the years... we have some pretty tacky crap for sale. Comments
