A little pavement isn't going to get in the way: So, I bought a chair. A new grown-up, don't get crumbs on it, special occasions only type of seat. I purchased it on sale from a store in the market - a store where one would expect delivery to be free (I know exactly how much you marked that chair up, mister, and let me tell you - the sale price? nice, but no bag of cookies).
At $60 for delivery, I figured I could carry it home. To make a long story short, they wouldn't allow me to simply carry it home from the store, they sent it to their warehouse in Orleans, it wouldn't fit in a car, I complained, and as we speak it should be traveling by truck back to the market where I will pick it up. So, if you see someone carrying a black chair with chrome legs through downtown Ottawa? That will be me. Hi. July 20, 2005 ||
