Being crafty: There are lots of way to be crafty in Ottawa. Here are a couple of examples:
1. You can recycle old furniture into new and functional pieces. Last week's Citizen had a call for residents to write in with their stories/photos of recycled furniture. I submitted our coffee table: made from Ikea Ivar shelves, a plaster cast, a custom glass top and casters. I'm not sure whether it will make it into the paper, but that's ok. 2. I've deleted my rant that was here because I don't want to link to crap from my site. Suffice to say, there are plenty of ways to be crafty without doing so in the malicious sense. 3. You like cats.
