The shopping sherpa: Most of Sunday was spent helping to sherpa string instruments to the family music fair being held at the University of Ottawa. Aside from being a co-sherpa, I also made some quickie product labels. Fortunately, I was able to duck out for a trip to the Rideau Centre.
Yes. Believe it. Going to the Rideau Centre was a welcome relief. The equation of children + violins + crying + balloons = !!!!! So I shopped. Correction. I shopped like a grandma. I waltzed into the Gap on a mission for pants. (Side rant: if their vanity sizing gets any more out of hand, I'll be shopping at Gap Kids. Since when does "classic fit" = "clown pants"?) Of course, fall sweaters were on sale as well - in all colours of the retro-modern rainbow: lime, robin's egg, nutmeg and vanilla cream. So, what do I do? I buy the complete colour spectrum of the same sweater. My inner grandma said to buy in multiples. I won't have to go back to the mall until spring. Sounds good to me! September 18, 2005 ||
