Lots of updates: Plenty of updates for this week!
First of all, my coworker became a citizen today. To prepare for the occasion, I scooted to Sparks Street in search of an appropriately cute stuffed Canadian icon. I thought that the task would be easy enough since Sparks Street is awash with souvenir shops - you want a cooing loon soap dispenser or a beaver wearing an RCMP outfit, Sparks Street is your mecca. The first shop that I entered was a disappointment. Moose Crossing signs? I don't think so. Somewhere between 4:45pm and 4:48pm, I became a real connoisseur of CanCon at these Carnivals of Crap. Finally, soggy and grumpy after walking the strip, I settled on a remarkably cute and soft stuffed moose with embroidered maple leafs on his paws (just like real life!). U&I Magazine: I'm happy to announce that the first issue of U&I Magazine is for sale at Lulu. The magazine is published by Taku Kumabe, a creative director in Toronto. There are 30 photobloggers featured in this first issue (including myself) and I'm looking forward to seeing a copy. Congratulations Taku! On the crafting front: A product that I am newly loving are Zots. If you need acid-free double-sided sticky tape that you don't have to peel paper off of - these are your golden ticket. Perfect for photo cards! October 26, 2005 ||
